Introduction to Smoke Systems

The use of 'smoke' as a defence is not a new concept. The ancient Chinese used it two thousand years ago. However, the use of 'smoke' to defeat would-be thieves
is a more recent innovation. In 1975 the very first 'security smoke' system was installed to provide protection during the processing of precious metals.

The concept is simple:

'Thieves can’t steal what they can't see!'

In 1993 the first commercial security smoke system was designed and manufactured under ISO 9000 (Design and Manufacture of Security Smoke Systems).
Smoke Screen acts as a physical deterrent that confronts intruders with an impenetrable barrier of dense, white screening smoke.

The smoke is created in seconds and consists of billions of microscopic particles that create the illusion of ‘smoke’. The smoke is non-toxic, non-conductive
and most importantly non-contaminating. Smoke is in daily use providing protection for a wide range of commercial and industrial premises. Think of a well known high street
name and the probability is that they are using security smoke to provide protection from intrusive thieves.

The system is also used by government agencies and strategic authorities to provide a defence against terrorist incursion.
Security Smoke systems are designed and
installed to provide the ultimate tool in intruder detterent and subsequent loss prevention.

Consider the alternatives:
  • Physical Security such as shutters and grilles is unsightly and really only raises the level of violence employed to gain access to your premises. If the thieves

want to get in, they will!

  • CCTV is no longer a detterent to professional burglars. They simply mask their features. Even monitored it is ignored. The criminals plan to gone before a

           response can be raised.

  • Conventional alarm systems are simply ignored. The reason is the same as with CCTV. The intruders are gone in 3 minutes on average. That is a challenge

           for anyone to react to.

  • Smoke Screen reacts and defends in seconds and moreover has been proven succesful time and time again, preventing literally hundreds of millions of pounds

           of property from being stolen.

The introduction of fog to an area is both violent and confrontational - exactly what a burglar does not want. In his mind, the time he has to complete his task is deteriorating rapidly, but more importantly, he can no longer see what he came to steal. THIEVES CAN'T STEAL WHAT THEY CAN'T SEE.
